An HISD employee for over 10 years, Maty began her career as a teacher at Franklin Elementary School. She moved into administration in the role of Assistant Principal at Jane Long Middle School. She then became the principal of Port Houston Elementary School and for the last 2 years has assumed the leadership role at Lantrip Elementary School.
Maty says that as a principal “I see my role as an administrator on a team who supports and encourages the staff to provide quality education to meet the individual needs of students.”
